Martha sat with you four days after her brother died. You looked at her and told her a secret. “Your brother will live.”
“Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.”
Martha did not realize that you were going to raise him in just a few hours. Martha did realize that you would raise us all in the end. She realized it and she vocalized it.
Jesus, I realize it and vocalize it. I believe that you will raise me up in the last day. I believe that you will transform me in the twinkling of an eye. I believe that the corruption that I live will become incorruptible in you. I believe.
I will walk in that truth. I will own that truth. I will declare that truth in my attitude, my actions and my words. I will declare your resurrection past. I will declare my resurrection to come. Just as Martha did, I declare.
