Restricted.
So who makes movies restricted anyway?
The world that’s who, as in the devil’s territory world.
So if unsaved deem it restricted I wonder what a blood-bought, redeemed, be-holy-for-I-am-holy, Christian should think?
You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil–the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. Eph 2:2
Am I stuffy? Am I just a prude? Am I an over-reacting Christian alarmist?
Let’s see what the Bible says.
God cannot look at sin and neither should you.
You who are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong. Hab. 1:13
Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. Mt. 6:22
What goes in the heart must come out.
It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart. Mark 7:15
For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. Mt. 15:19
Your example is too precious.
Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Tim. 4:12
So you think you can handle it? You think it doesn’t really bother you? What about your example to the brother or sister who can’t? What about the weak person who sees you do something that is an addiction to them?
Hate it. Don’t pay for it.
You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. Ps. 97:10
Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Rom. 12:9
Abhor it. The Greek word means “have horror of.” Hate it. Abort it. Be horrified by it.
Stay rescued.
Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. Gal. 1:4
The cost of sin isn’t the $9.50 you spent on a movie ticket. The cost was blood, Jesus’ blood. He paid it to rescue you. So sister, Jesus implores you, stay rescued.
Your eternity is in the balance.
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved usand offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Eph. 5:1-5
