My Favorite Things About Christmas

No raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens. Nope. These are a few of my favorite things.

Spreading Christmas cheer.

Really it’s all about my kids. Watching my children discover the magic of Christmas is one of absolute things in this world.

Here we are just a few days from Christmas and I can taste my anticipation. I am so ready for Christmas morning. I’m so ready to see all the smiles and laughter Santa brings this year.

I love my kids. I love giving them presents. I love making them happy.

But that really isn’t my most favorite thing about this time of year.

My favorite thing is that it reminds me what an awesome Heavenly Father I have. As cool as I think my presents are, Jesus reminds me that my presents pale in comparison to God’s.

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. Mt. 7:11

My Father gives me gifts all of the time, all year long… and for no reason.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights… Jm. 1:17

He does it because he loves me the way I love my kids multiplied by a gazillion.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 1:3

And I simply don’t thank Him enough.

Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! 2 Cor. 9:15
