Feeling Down?

Feeling down?  Needing a pick me up?  Searching for motivation?  I’m going to pass on some advise I got only yesterday.  Go serve someone.

“For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love” (Gal 5:19).

Take your freedom in Christ and go serve someone.

Quick Ideas for Service:

  1. Invite someone for lunch or dinner
  2. Bake cookies for your neighbor
  3. Visit or call someone elderly
  4. Pray for others more than you pray for yourself
  5. Give a gift
  6. Lend a hand

Now I’m off to take this advise.  Feel free to comment with ideas for ways to serve others.  I’ll be back to tell you how my adventure turned out today!

    I tend to forget things. (I know, right?) it always encourages me to receive a card or little note expressing written encouragement.
    Your ideas are good too. I’m going to go do one of them right now. 🙂

    I love the ideas you have given Serena. I have always felt that it was important to use the gifts God has given you in service to not only him, but in the serivce of others. Can’t wait to hear about your adventure!

    When I was young, my mom always told me to get outside of myself whenever I got wrapped up in a pity party or something of that sort. It worked then and still works today. If we get busy loving people, it not only is really difficult to spend time & energy on feeling low, it blesses our own life in ways we never imagined. Good thoughts.
