I am packing up to head to Columbia, Tennessee for a weekend ladies shabang. Proverbs 31 is on the bill.
- Holiness: Who Is God?
- The Marriage Lesson That’s Not Just For Married People
- Industry: Busy Not Burnout
- Stewardship: How Do You Spend You?
I have promised God that I will speak his word. I will honor his name. I will be a vessel for his truth.
And as always, I have an enemy who doesn’t want that to happen. I am still doing laundry from the lice fiasco last week because our washing machine was broken for 9 days because it had a Polly Pocket dinner tray in the pump. I knew I hated Polly Pocket. Yesterday the vomit plague started among the minis and graciously moved to the intestinal track. Then grief smacked me down, sucked me in and spit me out last night.
But today is a new day. My defender is in place.
Whoever goes to the Lord for safety,
whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty,
can say to him,
“You are my defender and protector.
You are my God; in you I trust.”
He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers
and from all deadly diseases.
He will cover you with his wings;
you will be safe in his care;
his faithfulness will protect and defend you.
You need not fear any dangers at night
or sudden attacks during the day
or the plagues that strike in the dark
or the evils that kill in daylight. From Psalm 91
If you don’t mind, say a little pray, actually a big prayer might be better, that we are protected, see truth in a new light and are brought closer to the Master.
