Can I Be Lost?

oncesaved

Dear Jesus,
Can I be lost? Once I am saved can I lose it?

Oh Dear One,

You came to me with such excitement and joy. My arms were spread open wide waiting for you to run into me. I wrapped my arms around you and promised you that day that I would never let you go.

Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go. John 6:37

I must warn you the enemy is still after you. He wants to destroy anything I love. He wants to pull you from my embrace. But let me assure you, he can’t. If he could, he would have done it already. The truth is, I defeated him once and for all.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,  for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” John 10:28-30

Oh Jesus, that makes me feel so much better. I have worried about this so much.

I know.

But Jesus, what if I want to leave?

Well, I came to earth to love, but I also came  to be loved in return. It is my hearts desire to have you. All of you. That is why I told my very first disciples:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mk. 12:30

If you chose to leave, it would break my heart into a million pieces.

I will never force you to love me. I will never force you to stay.

I want you to know when you are in me you are safe. You are blameless. You are holy.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Eph. 1:4

Father and I dreamed such dreams for you. We still do.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Eph. 2:10

If you leave, you also must know that I cannot protect you from the prince of this world any more.

If you leave I will see your spots and stains again.

Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Col. 1:22

But Jesus, would I be lost?

Precious child, if you leave, I must let you go.

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. Heb 10:26

But why?

For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. Heb. 6: 4-6

Now do you see? In me is life. In me is forgiveness. In me is salvation.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ… 2 Cor. 5:17
