About
As we walked into the department store on a rainy Monday, my husband and I recalled the first time our hands touched. He shook my hand and said, “Hi, I’m Dan. Dan DeGarmo.” That was the beginning of our story.
This day we added part of the story we didn’t know fifteen years before. “Hi, I’m Dan. Dan DeGarmo. And one day our son will die.”
No event has shaped me more immediately than the death of my infant son. I am in the process of learning just who God is and how much he loves me. My story has been birthed through adversity- from sexual abuse and a broken family in my childhood, to rebellion to God in my teens, to a marriage that nearly ended because of our pride, and yes, burying my sixth child, Azaiah Stone.
But I stand today, recognizing that God is still on his throne and I will serve him.
Just three weeks after we buried our son, we conceived this beautiful girl. We named her, Amitiah, God is Faithful.
My husband and I, along with our six blessings we call our kids, live in Chillicothe, Ohio where we minister to a growing church and live in the hills.
