I know you have a short attention span so I will be brief. This is how you screw up your marriage.
Ignore us.
Mrs. Invisible is not what we’re going for.
Choose other things.
We want to be your priority sometimes.
Treat us like we are stupid.
We may not be the all-things expert that you are. But we have brains and something to bring to the table.
Treat us like a child.
We like your protection. We like you to shoot bad guys and run into burning buildings. We don’t like if when you tell us what to do. We are big girls.
Think sex is just for you.
Ew! Sex is a two-way street and we want you to be just as into what we want as what you want.
Don’t even try to understand
Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. 1 Pet. 3:7
Look at other women
This deserves a kick where it counts. Seriously fellas. Keep your eyes and energy for your one and only.
Mean to our kids
There are few things more repelling to a woman than a man who is not compassionate and kind to children, especially his own.
Don’t love God
We crave spiritual protection. Don’t leave the well-being of our souls to someone else.
Leave
Don’t walk away. You leave me feeling dejected and rejected. You make me feel like I am not worth fight for. You make me give up. So please, please, don’t leave.
