Mr. Sharpton, This Is the Real Problem With Donald Sterling

Donald Sterling and wife

Donald Sterling and  his wife

So if you live in hole similar to mine, you may not have heard about  Donald Sterling either. Let me piece together what I’ve gathered.

  • LA Clippers Owner
  • Epic Scandal
  • Racist Tapes
  • Public Outrage
  • Banned from NBA

Yes, the NBA banned this guy from breathing on anything sanctioned by the NBA for the rest of his life. Ok, he’s 80 so what?  But none-the-less, he is banned for life because his mistress secretly recorded a private conversation revealing his bigotry.

On the tape Sterling berated her for  “associating with black people” and bringing “them to my games.”

He went on to say, “I don’t want to change. If my girl can’t do what I want, I don’t want the girl. I’ll find a girl that will do what I want!”

In response, Rev. Al Sharpton ignited a firestorm. He called for the NBA to suspend Sterling immediately because no American company should be run with a bigot at the helm.

Um… Mr. Sharpton all you can nail this guy on is being a racist? Really?

He is married. He is publicly involved in a relationship with a girl 50 years younger.  He treats his mistress like an inanimate object. He is an adulterer. And all you can come up with is bigot?

Al, this is a problem. You represent a much bigger problem for all of us.  You mentioned nothing of his covenant breaking, his unfaithfulness, his objectification of women or his lack of sexual integrity.

His sins are deplorable. This scandal is epic.  But for a whole different reason than you have led America to believe. Long before Sterling was called out for racism, he paraded his adultery around. He flaunted his sin. No outcry. No scandal. Just perfectly acceptable adultery.

He has unabashedly been mocking the covenant of marriage for a long time with no media reaction or impending boycotts. Three days of being a racist and he is the most hated man in America.

This is the real problem. The real problem is us.

My fellow citizens, and even my fellow Christians, don’t care about marriage. We don’t care about adultery. We don’t care that we spit on the covenants we make with God or each other. And God won’t permit it much longer.

Jeremiah the prophet said,

For the land is full of adultery,
and it lies under a curse.
The land itself is in mourning—
its wilderness pastures are dried up.
For they all do evil
and abuse what power they have. Jer. 23:10

Jesus the Messiah says,

“I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:3

*Disclaimer: I’m not a supporter of racism.

And Once again you Nailed it!

My skin crawled yesterday when I heard his “wife” Defending him saying he was not racisist!

In business there is a saying…Follow the Money to get to the Truth!

If we Follow the Money we find that this person made his Billions off the backs of Poor as a major slumlord & in real estate schemes .
Then he takes his $$$$ to get Mistresses which the wife turns a blind eye to …Why?…because of the $$$$$$….. The Mistresses eventually try to entrap him for $$$$
And now he will lose his Most Prized Possession, the LA Clippers during a winning streak because of something HE Said! No amount of $$$ can buy himself out of this self created situation.
I couldn’t help but think of how men & women like this who have had everyone bow to them will be Shocked at judgement & will try to Deal with God! But as the Basketball commissioner stated yesterday “There will be No discussions and I will use every power given me .”
    Romans 14:11
“As I live , says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

“Reverend”Sharpton should be more concerned about saving Mr Sterling’s sinful soul. Bigotry comes in all shapes..sizes…colors. I heard an appalling rant by snoop dog.He referred to “white bread” and his despicable tirade was laced with profanities. His use of the “f” word was obscene. So will his racist remarks get him banned or fined? Not in this lifetime. I am white, conservative, and christian. If “we” say anything deemed derogatory to others it is racism But anybody can say anything about”us” and it

Mr Sterling is immoral but so is his ex girlfriend. More to this then racism. The entire scandal could have been avoided if ALL involved would have followed God’s plan. I do not condone discrimination of any kind. But it exists. Mr Sterling’s punishment may be profitable for him. His team was purchased for $12.5 mil and is now worth $780 mil. That will really teach him a lesson! A lot of wealthy people feel that they are privileged and above consequences. So Mr Sterling does not stand alone! We need to pray for the morality of our country. Christians need to make their voices heard!
