If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. 2 Cor 5:13
These men who have turned the world upside down… Acts 17:6
Francis Chan said, “Something is wrong when our lives make sense to unbelievers.” Have you ever thought about that? Does your life make sense? Something about God that I’ve learned is that he doesn’t like to make sense. He likes to defy it. Something I have learned about the early church is that they didn’t make sense either.
The early church was so radical that they were labeled as a bunch of crazies who were turning the world upside down. I wonder if anyone has ever called me crazy? I wonder if I could even be accused of turning my neighborhood upside down let alone the world?
The first Christians put their life on the line for a man they saw dead and live again. They gave up everything to follow his mission and build his church. They took on governments and religious establishments. They healed the sick and restored life to at least two dead people. They spoke unlearned languages. They boldly proclaimed a truth they were beaten for, imprisoned for and stoned to death for. (Read the book of Acts)
That is crazy.
I want to be crazy too.
